We just dropped some info about our RSD Black Friday festivities. For the first time, considering we opened our new Northside location last month, we’re hosting it at THREE (3) locations. There’s always some good stuff on the list worth lining up for. Here’s what our staff is hoping to grab in the chaos:

Shinola, Vol. 1 LP
Ween
Picked by Vail
Ween is a truly singular rock band that perfectly captures the essence of obnoxious adolescence–infinite teenage debauchery stuffed into a rotten tape until abstracted beyond this mortal realm. But Ween’s true genius shines through in how they treat no genre of music as off-limits, creating multicolor zappaesque worlds that push parody over the top back into sincerity. Shinola Vol. 1 features a menagerie of unreleased remastered outtakes spanning every era of their discography resulting in a comprehensive portrait of Ween contained within a single volume.
Rattus Norvegicus LP (2025 remaster)
The Stranglers
Picked by Pete
This is one of the albums that made me fall in love with punk as a teen growing up in the 80s, and I’m not sure most people would recognize it as punk at a first listen today. But that was what was so great about punk in the early early days (this came out in 1974), it was not one thing, it was all kinds of things blowing up in all directions. It’s boisterous and in your face with a nice rolling Hammond organ and big beautiful bass lines.

Deltron 3030: 25th Anniversary LP
Deltron 3030
Picked by Blu and Cole
For some reason I don’t own a copy of this masterpiece, but this rerelease includes some new splatter colored vinyl and printed sleeves. This album gave way to a generation of nerds to make hip hop with even weirder and out there lyrics. Del runs circles around his contemporaries while rapping about mech soldiers and cyborg wizards. – Blu
Classic album; classic number of years to make an anniversary pressing (25). – Cole
Live at the Plugged Nickel: December 23, 1965 – Second Set 2LP
Miles Davis
Picked by Douglas
Long out of print 2LP set is a preview of a 10 LP set that will be released in Feb 2026. Featuring the 2nd Classic Miles Quartet playing deconstructionalist versions of catalog standards. Live recording of a breakthrough moment in Jazz.

Live at the Bayou: Washington D.C. July 14, 1980 / March 15, 1981 2LP
Bad Brains
Picked by Mike
Low-key brutal.
Their Satanic Majesties Request LP
The Rolling Stones
Picked by Tassles
Is this the rolling stones sgt peppers? Not even close but it’s still my favorite stones record (controversial) and this is zoetropic! Psychedelic man.

Merry Something To You LP
DEVO
Picked by CJ and Liz
Finally, DEVO’s one and only holiday song, AND it even comes with a Santa Cyclops drawing by head Spud Mark Mothersbaugh. DEVOtees tend to go deep, which is why having one-off tracks or anything previously unavailable on vinyl is so exciting both for new fans and those who are already intimately familiar with DEVO’s discography. – CJ
Picture disc is Santa Cyclops drawn by Mark Mothersbaugh with four versions of their only Christmas/holiday song. What’s not to love?! – Liz
Extra! Extra! EP
La Luz
Picked by Becca
Explore the cosmos with an all-female psych rock band that somehow feels both retro and futuristic. This album will deconstruct and reinvent the songs we already know and love to create alternate versions in this special vinyl-only release. And if you don’t already know and love them, now’s the time!

Curtis LP (Rhino Reserve)
Curtis Mayfield
Picked by Jess
180g cut from master tapes re-release of Mayfield’s debut album! Gonna get groovier than ever to the extended cut of Move On Up.
Big Top Pee-Wee Original Soundtrack LP
Danny Elfman
Picked by Ethan
I mean, c’mon, it’s Pee Wee Herman and it’s Danny Elfman! The only thing not worth getting excited over is the actual movie itself… THAT’S something I can’t defend haha. But the music’s great nonetheless!

Around The World in A Day 7″ boxset
Prince
Picked by Leo
Some of his most amazing B-sides are collected here along with 2 versions of “4 The Tears In Your Eyes” in a cool limited edition package.
David Johansen and the Harry Smiths LP
David Johansen and the Harry Smiths
Picked by Duane
Dry and spare, Johansen’s voice carries a century of ghosts and gamblers, and he makes the old songs sound like they just crawled out of tomorrow.

The Father of Delta Blues: Selections from Paramount Recordings, Vol. 2 LP
Charley Patton
Also picked by Duane
Charley Patton (1891–1934) was the original showman of the Delta, a bluesman who could make a guitar shout, whisper, or flat-out dance. He stomped, joked, and hollered his way through juke joints like a one-man carnival, proving the blues wasn’t just sorrow—it was spectacle, rhythm, and pure joy on a Saturday night.
