Everything you need to know
By Wax Trax staff
THIS WEEKEND Wax Trax Broadway Bazaar is hosting an excellent celebration of community, creativity, and local talent with the Ultra Magical Soiree! Over the course of three days, our outdoor event will showcase an array of local vendors and musicians. Maybe wander over before (or during a break from) a certain underground music festival happening at the same time. 😉
WHAT: Ultra Magical Soiree
WHEN: Fri July 26 from 3-8PM, Sat July 27 from 11AM-5PM, and Sun July 28 from 11AM-5PM
WHERE: Wax Trax Broadway Bazaar – 200 S. Broadway, 80209 – behind and around the building! (We strongly recommend walking, biking, scooting, or public transportation as parking picks will be slim)
**ALL AGES & FREE** Check out our Instagram for more specifics, but in the meantime, here’s a rundown on what to expect each day!

DAY 1: Friday, July 26 from 3-8PM – PINK LADY MONSTER and FRAGRANT BLOSSOM
We’ve got vintage, we’ve got jewelry, we’ve got prints, we’ve got tarot, we’ve got face painting, we’ve got ceramics, we’ve got tacos. Should we have started with tacos? Maybe! We’ve also got the talented musical stylings of local Denver favs Pink Lady Monster and Fragrant Blossom. Vendors will be rockin’ and rollin’ as the market starts, and our bands will start at 6:30PM and play through the event’s end.

Pink Lady Monster is a Denver-based band that with thy pinkness, presents to you a realm that is full of whimsy and darkness, the absurd and the surreal nestled in a realty check.

Fragrant Blossom makes music in the new age, jazz, folk, floral tone space.
DAY 2: Saturday, July 27 from 11AM-5PM – QUITS and DJ RYAN WONG
Even more fun in store for Day 2 that includes pole dancing, eclectic jewelry, thrifty finds, holistic apothecary, stained glass art, delicious baked goods and savory snacks. We’re psyched to welcome DJ Ryan Wong (from Cool Ghouls/Supreme Joy and Wax Trax used store fame) for a few hours, leading up to Denver noise legends, Quits. Live music starts at 1PM, but come before that to get your pick of vendor goodies! Or maybe swing by our Orville Peck listening party happening at 12PM at our cap hill location first?
DJ Ryan Wong is a record clerk turned high school teacher. Freak shit only!

Quits is a noise-rock post-hardcore group composed of veteran Denver rockers from Sparkles, Felt Pilotes, Why Planes Go Down and other great Denver bands, and are still relatively fresh off their 2023 album Feeling It. *Photo by Tom Murphy

DAY 3: Sunday, July 28 from 11AM-5PM – TASSLES
We’re going out with a bang with local vendors supplying scrumptious foods, one-of-a-kind cultural art prints, crochet creations (crochetions?), chic ceramics, tinctures and teas, colorful accessories, stunning apparel, and more. Our musical headliner will be Tassles, who is gracing us with a DJ set followed by an original live set!

Tassles is the lo-fi bedroom solo project of Nick Tassinari. A mix of chillwave, dream pop and shoegaze.
We hope to see you all there!
